Burpee

The Burpee is a full-body move that builds strength and endurance by combining a squat, plank, and jump in one fluid motion.

  • Start standing tall, then squat down and place your hands on the floor.

  • Jump your feet back into a plank position, keeping your body straight.

  • Jump your feet forward toward your hands, then explode upward into a jump.

  • Land softly and immediately lower back into the next rep.

PRO TIPS:

  • Land softly when jumping your feet back in to reduce knee and ankle stress.

  • Exhale on the jump to keep your core braced.

  • Set a steady pace instead of rushing the first few reps.

MODIFICATIONS:

  • Squat down and step one foot, then the other, from squat position to plank position and back.

  • Stand up and reach your arms overhead rather than performing a big jump at the top.
